Pastel Colours: protagonists of the latest trends

In recent years we have welcomed the timid entry of pastel shades. In fact, among the trendy autumn-winter 2022 2023 colours, pastel shades are asserting themselves as protagonists.

Two colours in particular: Nosegay, which is a baby pink, and Waterspout, which is a bright, fresh, light blue.

We see, however, the flanking of warm and strong tones, which reveal that orange is becoming more and more central among fashion trends. In Interior Design, in fact, furnishings in strong, bright tones, such as red and yellow, are becoming more and more popular and go well with the favourite material par excellence: wood.

As far as cold tones are concerned, which do not lag behind among the colour trends, we find a pink tending towards lilac, an Amazon green inspired by nature and Midnight which elegantly closes the palette proposed by Pantone.

In the wake of the trends in furniture styles, which confirm that the modern and minimal style will dictate the design fashions of the next few years, we find neutral colours among the favourites: we see Artic Wolf, a shaded white, Autumn Blonde, which is a cream.

Typical of the modern style, are strong colours such as, Polar Night, a dark blue, Loden Frost, an earthy green, and Chiseled Stone, a stone grey.

Colours that will undoubtedly be chosen by Interior Designers to create refined and elegant environments.

The palettes presented in London are similar to those of New York Fashion Weekn, but with slight nuances of difference.

Roses and light blue remain central in the trends.

As for pink, we find it in different shades: the trend of decorating inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom is confirmed. In light blue we find Lichen Blue, a very serene shade, which is also approached by Meadow Violet, a delicate and dusty purple, which is close to Very Peri, the Pantone 2022 colour.

Green is also found in London’s proposals: we see Abundant Green, which is a dark, intense green reminiscent of foliage, and Cardamom Seed, practically the colour of cardamom seed. Yellows, oranges and browns also feature in this palette: Spicy Mustard, a mustard yellow, Dragon Fire, a strong, bright orange and Chicory Coffee, a very dark, roasted brown, anticipate a warm and engaging style.

Coffee-inspired neutrals

Compared to the New York palette, the London palette offers coffee-inspired neutrals: we find Iced Coffe, a light and creamy brown, and Peach Caramel, a caramelised peach effect shade.

We also find Tapioca, an off-white, Blueberry, a blueberry blue, and Quiet Shade, a dark, cool grey.

In short, all colours that we expect to find in environments that can tastefully follow interior design trends, inspired by the colours proposed by Pantone.
