The 64th edition of the Home Fair
The 2023 Home Fair, the most important event in Central and Southern Italy, is back again this year and focuses not only on furnishings and design, but also on innovation and technology. The event takes place in a multifunctional urban park of over 700,000 square metres owned by Mostra d’Oltremare and equipped not only with exhibition pavilions and congress halls, but also with spacious green areas designed to offer relaxation and refreshment to visitors during their visit. Once again this year the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples will host the House Fair now in its 64th edition. The 10-day consumer event is aimed at the general public and is a particularly popular event. It is no coincidence that, in addition to being characterised by a purely exhibition aspect, it is known as the ‘Naples party for summer evenings of excellence in the city’. An appointment that has become part of the history of the city of Naples, to be lived intensely with shows, traditional initiatives and music, around the various exhibition segments typical of the House Fairs.

The history of the Home Fair: from its origins to today
The first edition of the Home Fair was inaugurated on 28 June 1958. Since then, this event has accompanied several generations of Neapolitans, tracing the guidelines of the city’s development. In particular, in the 1960s, the Home Fair enjoyed very special promotion. On RAI channel 2, and at the time there were only two channels, a themed morning film was aired only in the Naples area. Since then, it has been a must-see summer event, reconfirmed year after year as an attraction for the general public on cool evenings in the city.
Naples: House Fair
Thanks to its origins and history, today the Fiera della Casa is the longest-running fair in Italy and one of the most important events in southern Italy. As mentioned, it is dedicated not only to furniture, furnishing accessories, home technology and garden furniture. But also to health, food and wine, beachwear, typical local products and entertainment for children with live shows included in the ticket price.
In particular, the exhibition spaces in the pavilions of the Show dedicated to furniture manufacturers that represent Made in Italy in the world, are being renewed and reinvented again this year through new concepts that follow the latest trends. Brands evocative of the great tradition of all of Italy, of handmade craftsmanship and also of design, with a strong look at current events and the possibility of taking advantage of advice from accountants for the use of tax reliefs made available by the state. The Home Fair is open and inclusive, representing a moment of great celebration regardless of the age of those attending.

The 64th edition of the 2023 Home Fair at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples
Like every year, 10 days in June 2023 will be dedicated to the holding of the House Fair at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples.

The all-round offer of the Home Fair
There will certainly be many new features at this year’s event. Suffice it to think of the programmes of past editions characterised, for example, by the presence of Kid’s Campus dedicated to children and adolescents with doctors engaged in free visits in the campus set up in the Golden Cube area, in the cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, dentistry, auxology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, pneumology and otorhinology laboratories. And the horse-riding area to introduce children to sport.
Innovation, of course, is put in place to counter the critical issues that have characterised the furniture trade fair sector for several years now, which has become a niche. And it is precisely this that has led the Fiera della Casa to take fourth place among Italian trade fair organisations capable of recording significant numbers.
